Southern Cross Dental offers a wide range of dental services including: oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics.
Oral Surgery (Extractions)
While our goal is to help you keep your teeth, sometimes it becomes necessary to extract a tooth. We have options to help make the process as easy and painless as possible.
Endodontics (Root Canal)
When damage to your tooth has affected the nerve, a root canal is necessary to save the tooth. By removing the injured nerve, the root canal therapy alleviates the pain to the affected tooth. Not long after a root canal is performed, a tooth should have a crown placed on it to protect the tooth.
Periodontics (Deep Cleaning and Maintenance)
The leading cause of tooth loss in adults is periodontitis, or the infection of the gums and bone that support the teeth. We can help you keep your mouth healthier with our periodontal therapy, including quadrant scaling and root planning (deep cleaning), and periodontal maintenance cleaning. These services clean beneath the gum line to remove soft bacterial plaque and hard tartar which irritates the gums and causes the infection. We also provide oral hygiene suggestions and aids to help you preserve your teeth.
Whitening
Show off your smile without stains or discoloration. We offer a one-hour whitening service as well as disposable take-home trays and syringes. With our teeth whitening service, your teeth can become shades whiter.
Prosthodontics
We offer crowns, bridges, and dentures to restore your smile. These options are available whether you are missing one tooth or many.
Dentures
It takes at least four appointments to complete your partial or full denture service. During the first appointment we make impressions. Your second appointment is for fittings. At your next appointment we do extractions, if necessary, and we place the dentures. Follow up appointments may be necessary for adjustments. Dental repair services are also available.
Crown and Bridge
Crowns are used when you have a tooth missing, a cracked tooth, after a root canal, or for cosmetic reasons, such as a discoloration. A bridge is used for a missing tooth or teeth. The bridge is placed in between teeth to replace a missing tooth.
